I was given the opportunity to briefly update audience on MRCDC efforts. Presentation on TMDL for Landusky Planning Area by Tim Byron with DEQ. 12 stream segments in Landusky area classified as impaired, primarily from metals. Jaff Pattison (Board Chair) introduced MRWA, an international watershed. Work on issues from mining, weed management, work with tribal college, work with St Mary's Rehabilitation Working Group. Discussion of Eurasian Watermilfoil in Ft Peck by Rick Stellflug, Valley Cty Weed District. John Pulasky, weatherman and humorist talked about weather patterns. Mike Waite, Filed Rep for Rehberg, briefly talked about Rehberg's issues of focus relative to Phillips County (Antiquities Act, wolf controversy, federal wildlands areas, sage grouse). Rehberg is running for Senate. Larry Mires talked about the St Mary's Rehabilitation Group. |
