In addition to the coal-fired generator presentation, the Council’s next meeting will include a presentation on the “Anglers Against Weeds” program by Robert Wiltshire of the Federation of Fly Fishers. Since 1999, Anglers Against Weeds has been educating anglers and outdoor enthusiasts about invasive species and recruiting organizations to “adopt” stream areas for weed control. To date, the program has completed 96 weed pull events. Also on the agenda for the next Council meeting is discussion of our involvement with FWP’s Education and Outreach grant for the Upper Missouri and Madison Rivers as well as discussion of a “Recreation Management Plan” for the Upper Missouri River.
